Most to-do apps assume tasks have deadlines. Most chores have rhythms instead: the bins go out every Monday, the plants want water every few days, the boiler gets serviced once a year.

Needs Doing doesn't ask what's due today. It shows what has gone longest past when it should have been done, most urgent first, so a daily job a day late counts as much as a monthly one a month late.
